Elph- Maryhill- North
We were delighted to select Elph as our Scottish representative for our In Common project. We've worked with him for many years and rate him very highly. He painted a distinctive, colourful piece at 1148 Maryhill Road. He visited the area and worked with children at East Park School. He incorporated many of their ideas, suggestions from local residents and Maryhill buildings and landmarks into his playful mural.
In Common was a Festival 2014 project to
celebrate the Commonwealth Games coming to Glasgow. 5 murals were painted on
the theme of 'Identity' across the city in July 2014. Here is a map to find all of the sites.
Thankyou to Maryhill Housing Association
for accommodating us and to both the Maryhill Resident's group and Eastpark School for meeting with us, aswell as all the local people who made us feel welcome. Our volunteers are tireless in their support and help, we couldn't have done it without you. Thankyou.
Final shot of mural by the talented
