RUDIMENTARY PERFECTION | CURATED EXHIBITION | RECOAT GALLERY | GLASGOW | JULY 2011

Our exhibition, "Rudimentary Perfection" opened on 1st July 2011. Mark Lyken brought together the UK's first comprehensive "Graffuturism" exhibition. The show pulled together an impressive group of notable international artists linked by their innovative spirit and shared graffiti heritage. The project has been heralded as one of the finest of its kind to take place anywhere in the world.

Each artist has ventured down unique paths in their post-graffiti output offer a radical take on expressive, figurative and letter-based abstraction. These works, while differing in approach and execution, retain the sense of movement, assured marks & imperfect beauty of graffiti itself.

In addition to the Rudimentary Perfection exhibition, the participating artists also painted murals across Glasgow.
